What began as a quiet obsession soon earned them the nickname “That Bonsai Couple.” Based in Australia, Fraser and Pippa share their lives — and most of their grow benches — with hundreds of bonsai trees. Fraser, Director of The Bonsai Pot Co., has been practising the art of bonsai since 2016. Over time, his passion became contagious, drawing his partner Pippa, also a Director of the company, deeply into the craft. For the past five years, bonsai has been far more than a hobby for them — it has become part of their everyday life.

Like many growers, Fraser and Pippa relied on the humble orchid pot for training and development. It worked… until it didn’t. When the company behind the most widely used orchid pot closed its doors, they were left searching for a suitable alternative — and coming up short. So they did what bonsai people do best: they studied, refined, obsessed, and re-imagined. Designing with bonsai — not orchids — as the priority, they created a training pot that truly supports healthy growth while remaining visually considered. That pursuit became The Bonsai Pot Co., and what they believe are the best bonsai training pots available today. After months of sketching and prototypes, they used CAD to design a series of steel injection moulds that are now producing their dream as reality.
